Our clients use our software to streamline everyday processes NEOGOV is a leading AI-enabled SaaS provider serving the public sector and public safety organizations nationwide.

For more than 25 years, we’ve helped agencies streamline critical workforce and operational processes through an integrated, intelligent platform. From hiring and onboarding to employee growth, retention, compliance, and public safety operations, our solutions support the full employee lifecycle. Guided by our mission to serve the people who serve the people, we combine innovation, customer focus, and purpose-driven technology to help build stronger communities.

Integration Implementation Consultants drive the end-to-end implementation of data connectors for NEOGOV customers, managing each engagement through a structured, phase-gated process - from initial requirements gathering through installation, validation, and customer acceptance. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers during connector implementations, coordinating across internal teams, customer IT staff, and third-party vendors to deliver working data connections on time. If you enjoy investigating data, solving problems methodically, and providing thoughtful customer service, this is the right role for you.

What You Will Do

Drive the implementation of data connectors between NEOGOV and customer CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) and RMS (Records Management Systems) platforms, managing each engagement through a structured process from intake through go-live. These connectors serve NEOGOV's public safety product suite - including PowerEngage, PowerReady, PowerVitals, and PowerAction - each with distinct data requirements and validation criteria.

  • Provide knowledge leadership for internal and external customers. We are the data and integration experts at NEOGOV, and we are in high demand.
  • Lead discovery engagements with customers and their IT teams - confirming connection types (SQL, file-based, or API), validating access methods, collecting and verifying sample data, and determining whether existing connector configurations can be reused or new development is needed.
  • Analyze customer source data across multiple formats - SQL query results, JSON, XML, CSV - to understand how it maps to NEOGOV's data model, identify discrepancies or anomalies, and verify that data transformations produce accurate results.
  • Lead the installation and configuration of connectors in customer environments - coordinating with customer IT contacts, testing connectivity, troubleshooting access or configuration issues, and escalating complex scenarios as needed.
  • Validate connector data against product-specific checklists - confirming that data formats, field mappings, and data freshness meet the requirements of the target NEOGOV product before handing off to downstream teams.
  • Produce deliverables packages after successful validation - documenting available data fields, ID codes, incident types, and data formats for use by downstream implementation and support teams
  • Coordinate with CAD/RMS and other software vendors to obtain connection specifications, troubleshoot vendor-side data issues, and understand vendor-specific data formats and access requirements.
  • Execute daily operations for assigned customers and implementations, including scheduling, time tracking, case management, and monitoring connector health.
  • Manage a portfolio of concurrent customer implementations at various stages - scheduling calls, tracking progress, and driving each engagement through milestones to completion.
  • Monitor connector health for assigned implementations during validation and acceptance - verifying data freshness, identifying issues, and coordinating resolution.
  • Triage technical issues - documenting reproduction steps, providing sample data, classifying severity, and driving resolution in partnership with R&D and Product teams.
  • Coordinate with R&D and Product teams on bugs and enhancement requests.
  • Create and maintain connector documentation - including vendor-specific preparation guides, installation instructions, and process documentation that enables the team to scale.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of implementation processes, templates, and playbooks. This is a small team in a fast-moving environment - your suggestions for improvement will be heard and acted on.

Who You Are

Passionate about enabling customer solutions with a structured approach to troubleshooting - when data doesn't look right, you can methodically trace the issue from the customer's source system through the connector to our platform, narrowing down whether the problem is at the source, in the configuration, in transit, or on our side.

  • Working familiarity with SQL - able to run pre-built queries, apply filters, adjust columns, and investigate unexpected results. You won't write complex queries from scratch, but you need to understand what a query does, verify its output, and make minor modifications. AI-assisted tooling will support query work, but you need enough SQL literacy to validate results with confidence.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze data across multiple formats - JSON, XML, CSV, SQL query results, and pipe-delimited files. You'll need to visualize how source data maps to our data model, spot anomalies, and verify accuracy.
  • Understanding how data moves from on-premises systems to a cloud platform - you won't manage infrastructure, but you need to follow the data path from a customer's source system through the connector to our cloud environment when troubleshooting issues.
  • Comfortable working in Windows environments
  • Familiarity with SFTP integrations
  • Experience integrating systems with cloud/hosted solutions
  • Comfortable working remotely with customers and on-premises systems
  • Comfortable working with AI-assisted tooling as a core part of your workflow - our team uses and is building AI tools for query review, data analysis, and problem-solving. You should embrace these tools and be able to validate their output with confidence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to set expectations and communicate goals and objectives with customers and teammates
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent customer implementations at different stages simultaneously - prioritizing effectively and driving each engagement forward through defined milestones.
  • Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate across the organization, particularly with Customer Service, Sales, Engineering, QA, and Product Management teams
  • Ability to understand and escalate issues efficiently and appropriately
  • Comfortable with changing directions as needed
  • B.A/B.S. or equivalent technical experience
  • Familiarity with APIs and how systems exchange data through them - API-based connections are one of the connector types you'll work with. (Move into main qualifications list)
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts - the connector process follows an extract-transform-load pattern, and understanding this framework will accelerate your ramp-up. (Move into main qualifications list)
  • Comfortable handling sensitive public safety data - including personally identifiable information, incident records, and personnel data - with appropriate care and discretion. Ability to obtain authorization to manage CJIS data is required for this position.
