CALED's membership consists of public and private organizations involved in economic development. CALED has grown to represent cities, counties, state and federal agencies, economic development corporations, and the private sector. The association provides information, technical assistance, training, education, and research to its members. It also sponsored the creation of the California Enterprise Development Authority to provide low-cost financing alternatives to nonprofits and manufacturers.
